电影讲述了一位名叫唐亮星（森美饰）的八卦杂志记者，因为交通意外失去左耳，接受移植手术后竟然获得了老鼠的超能力。他因为功利而制造虚假新闻，与正直的女警宋凯甄（黄翠如饰）发生冲突，导致两人双双失业。随后，凯甄得到舅父明君毅（张国强饰）的鼓励，决定转行成为私家侦探。 亮星利用他的超能力偷窥女神明卓淇，结果被凯甄抓住，最终被迫与她一同合作调查案件。同时，拜金女唐美芬和富家子隋俊伟之间的纠纷也成为故事的一部分。俊伟落难时，美芬在不计前嫌的情况下伸出援手。随着情节的发展，亮星利用他的超能力参与破案，但逐渐变得自大。与此同时，凯甄发现君毅真实一面，而亮星却陷入了超能力耗尽、变成老鼠的危机中。。Remake of Da grande (1987).
